C-MS is almost everything that one could want in a Main Tank SMG with almost everything going in her favor. Her amazing Skill, great stats, and buff tiles allow C-MS to serve as an incredibly versatile SMG and allowing her to adapt to all situations. Her Skill is her most noteworthy asset which allows her to switch between three different stat buffs for whatever the battle may require. While there are situations where other SMGs may perform the required role better (such as SR-3MP being a stronger damage dealer), this does little to hinder how desirable C-MS is overall. No matter the fight, it is almost impossible to go wrong with using C-MS.

Both Exoskeletons have their merit due to how high C-MS’ Evasion will be pushed by her skill. T4 is ideal if C-MS will be tanking and nothing more. However, X4 could be considered if C-MS will be doing DPS work as well.

Whether Hollow Point Ammo or Armor-Piercing Ammo is ideal will depend on a map by map basis. If there are no armored enemies, then Hollow Point is ideal. The more armored enemies that are present on a map, the more ideal Armor-Piercing Ammo becomes.

A Suppressor will be C-MS’ best general choice thanks to the Evasion it gives. However, an EOT could also be considered for the boost in Accuracy and Damage to help with her DPS.

Excellent Skill

  • C-MS comes with a unique Skill that allows her to cycle between different types of buffs. By default, she receives a 65% Evasion buff, but can instead receive an 85% Damage buff or a 200% Accuracy buff. Combined with an extremely low cooldown, this Skill allows C-MS to be a very flexible SMG.

  • C-MS’ skill should be set to forced manual. If not, the skill will automatically rotate between the buffs every second. Setting it to forced manual allows for control over what buff is active.

Great All-Round Stats

  • C-MS comes with an amazing stat spread. Decent HP and good Evasion allows her to serve her role as a main tank very well. On top of this, she also possesses high Damage and Accuracy, as well as good Rate of Fire.

Strong Tiles

  • C-MS’ buff tiles cover the entire back row, which is optimal for any Main Tank SMG. On top of this, she gives a strong 15% Damage boost as well as a small but still beneficial 5% ROF boost, helping out with the overall DPS of the ARs she is buffing.

Can Equip AP rounds

  • C-MS is the only SMG that’s capable of equipping Armor-Piercing rounds. Combined with her high base Damage, this makes her great at punching through armored foes. She will be particularly useful against Tarantulas where her high ROF will come into good use.

No Noteworthy Weaknesses

  • Any ‘weakness’ of C-MS is a minor nitpick at best and not something worth marking as a noteworthy weakness.

Full Analysis

If C-MS could be adequately described in a single word, that word would be ‘everything’. This is because, as a Main Tank, C-MS has everything – all the necessary strengths with no notable weakness.

For tanking, C-MS has 185 HP per dummy (for 925 HP total) and 75 Evasion. This is comparable to UMP45 who has the same HP and only one less point of Evasion, and allows C-MS to fulfil her role as a tank well. However, she’s also no slouch offensively. She comes with an amazing 32 Damage and 15 Accuracy, as well as 87 ROF. Statistically speaking, C-MS is difficult to fault in any area. If anything, her HP stat is only decent, but she easily makes up for this through the strength of her other stats and Skill.

The star of the show with C-MS is her unique Skill, Fickle Temper, which allows her to switch between three different types of ammunition, each one granting her a different statistical buff. By default, she’ll be loaded with Subsonic rounds that give her a 65% Evasion buff, but she can also load Spoon Point Tip rounds for an 85% Damage buff or Standard rounds for a 200% Accuracy buff.

Fickle Temper allows C-MS to adapt to practically any kind of fight. If she needs to tank, then she absolutely can with the help of Subsonic rounds boosting her Evasion to outclass every other SMG. Then, if she needs to be used to DPS, she can quickly load up Spoon Point Tip rounds to deal extra damage. Standard rounds have the least practical application and will rarely be used, but the other two rounds are so effective that this hardly detracts from how good this Skill is.

Moreover, C-MS’ buff tiles – which apply to the entire backline – are perfect for a Main Tank. Furthermore, her 15% Damage and 5% ROF buff will be useful to practically every single AR for increasing their DPS. Finally, C-MS has the unique option to equip Armor-Piercing rounds, allowing her to deal good damage to armored foes. She can still equip Hollow Point rounds for battles when armored foes will not be present, though, which only further adds to her adaptability.

Overall, the power and versatility of C-MS cannot be understated. With an amazing Skill, great stats, useful buffs, and optional AP rounds backing her up, C-MS is truly a standout Main Tank that stands amongst the other top options like UMP45 and RO635. No matter what the situation may call for, C-MS will perform her duties spectacularly.

Team Options

  • Any AR: Given the versatility of C-MS’ tile buffs, finding an AR that C-MS does not pair well with is a challenge. On top of this, C-MS can enjoy any type of buff herself. ST AR-15, G41, Type95, K11, and FF FNC are just a small handful of ARs that C-MS will pair well with.

  • Any SMG Offtank: With C-MS in the Main Tank position, she will pair well with any SMG considered an Offtank. Some good options include Vector, PP-19, KLIN, PPS-43, and Z-62.

The CBJ-MS, first revealed in August 2000, is quite the unusual weapon. The weapon was designed to fulfill multiple rolls at once. It was meant to act as a personal defense weapon, assault rifle, and squad automatic weapon (SAW) all at once. The ability to function as a SAW came from the optional bipod and 100-round drum magazine. The CBJ-MS can be chambered to fire both 6.5x25mm CBJ (A type of ammo specifically designed for this weapon) and 9x19mm Parabellum.

Fickle Temper, C-MS’ skill, is a reference to the 6.5x25mm CBJ, which is available in many different variants which include the three types found in C-MS’ skill. The 6.5x25mm CBJ cartridge is also known for good armor penetration which might be why she can equip AP rounds in-game.
