FMS is an AR who excels at eliminating low HP mobs due to her high ROF, good accuracy, and wide-reaching grenade skill. This combination of traits makes her a solid early to mid game choice for players who are limited in their AR options. She is weaker in the late game due to her low max damage compared to other ARs, however, so it is generally not recommended to heavily prioritize FMS for leveling if other ARs are readily available.
High Rate of Fire
FMS is tied for the highest ROF among ARs, making her a reasonable DPS unit when provided with the proper Damage and Crit equipment and formation buffs.
Low Overall Damage
Although FMS has excellent ROF and a solid statline overall, her low max Damage means that she has a hard time matching up to other ARs in the late game. Her low damage multiplier on her grenade skill also contributes to her late game fall off.
Awkward Formation Buff Pattern
FMS’ formation buff only applies to one square diagonally downwards and in front of her, which means she is unable to buff both frontline SMGs in standard F or b formations.
FMS main strength is her exceptional ROF cap of 81, which is nearly 15% above the AR class average. Combining her ROF with her above average Accuracy and the right formation buffs, FMS becomes a potent early game threat who can tear through most low HP enemies, especially those with low Evasion. In the late game, however, FMS suffers from a low Damage cap of 44, which leaves her with subpar damage output when compared to the top ARs such as G41 or ST AR-15.
FMS’ High-explosive Grenade skill has a wider radius but lower damage dealt than the grenade skills of other ARs, meaning that FMS is more suited to fighting enemies with low max HP. At minimum level, her skill deals damage equal to her damage stat to all enemies within a 4 unit radius, and at maximum level deals 2.6x damage. This means that the explosion impacts almost the entire battlefield area, but does relatively low damage even at max level.
FMS has a rather weak formation buff in that she only provides a buff to one tile diagonally in front and below her. Although the buff is rather powerful, FMS often forfeits receiving at least one SMG buff or forces one SMG to forfeit a buff to maintain optimal positioning in a F formation.
Overall, FMS provides reasonable early game clear potential but should not be too heavily prioritized for mid to late game leveling if other ARs are readily available. Her low Damage cap and the low multiplier on her grenade skill means that she is unable to match either the single target damage of ROF-based ARs or the area damage of other grenade ARs.
SMGs with Damage/Crit formation buffs
FMS is best placed in position 7 of a standard F formation in order to apply her Formation buff to the center SMG. Although the offtank SMG is forced to forfeit one buff, the main tank SMG in position 5 and FMS ideally can mutually buff each other.
