M1911 provides decent Accuracy and RoF formation buffs, and her Smoke Grenade skill can be a tremendous help to the team as it provides a significant boost to the Echelon’s overall defensive performance. There are only currently four units in the game who possess the Smoke Grenade Skill, and M1911 is the only HG among them. Even accounting for her middling stats, the utility M1911 provides to a team through her skill and buffs are incredibly defensively potent, making her a worthy member of an Echelon despite her shortcomings.
Smoke Grenades are one of the the best defensive Skill options available currently in the game. M1911 having this skill allows a Main tank and Offtank to possess and use other skills that can benefit the team.
RoF Formation Buff
The RoF formation buffs M1911 provides are immensely useful for RFs and ARs.
Below Average Stats
Every single stat that M1911 possesses except for her HP are below the average for HGs.
While M1911’s HP is above average for HGs, it is only just barely above that average. She’s threateningly close to having not one redeemable stat.
M1911 -- as is the case for HGs-- possesses rather low offensive capabilities due to her stat distribution; what makes her different than her peers, though is that she also possesses a mediocre if not outright low defensive capabilities as well. This makes her unsuitable for a Main tank role, but she can act as Offtank if a better option is unavailable. Her best position will be in the center of the formation or the center of the back column. From here, she can buff all the offensive units in the Echelon with her Formation buff tiles.
Even though M1911 is unsuitable for a Main tank role, however, her skill allows her to provide excellent defensive support to the team. Through the use of her Smoke Grenade, M1911 can not only grant the tanks in her Echelon some much-needed relief early in the battle, but can also grant them greater flexibility regarding the skills they themselves can viably use.
Overall, despite her less than stellar stats, M1911 possesses a fantastic combination of offensive Formation buffs and a defensive support skill. Because of this, she is not only able to boost her Echelon’s damage output, but also will help tanks avoid taking damage in the crucial early moments of a battle.
M1911’s main goal is to provide buffs to DPS units while opening up skill options for defensive units. This means that low Accuracy ARs and RFs should be used for DPS positions in an Echelon that contains M1911, while SMGs with longer than normal cooldown defensive skills can be used in the frontline.
ARs with Low Accuracy
M1911’s formation buff improves Accuracy and Rate of Fire of her allies. As ARs generally don’t need help with Accuracy, if one wishes to improve Rate of Fire, use an AR with a low Accuracy stat such as ASh-12.7, FAL, and Type56-1. This will prevent the Accuracy buff from going to waste.
While Accuracy buffs tend to be wasted by Rfs, RoF buffs improve their performance immensely. This makes RFs an excellent -- if not completely ideal -- choice to use with M1911. Some of the better RFs to consider for Echelon composition with M1911 include WA2000, SVD, and G43.
SMGs with Long Initial Cooldown Skills
M1911’s skill provides time for defensive units to whittle down their initial cooldown a bit opening up options to make SMGs more applicable. Some of these SMGs include Thompson, MP5, and Spectre M4.
M1911 fits best in the middle of the back column -- here she can buff both DPS units and not get in the way of the defensive frontline due to her low Evasion and HP. ARs and RFs are the better options for the backline due to their ability to effectively utilize the RoF buffs M1911 provides, and SMGs can use the Accuracy buffs to greater effect.
M1911 works well enough as a tank unit to be utilized on the top or bottom of column 2 as an Offtank -- here, she can provide her Formation buff to whichever two ARs or RFs that sit behind her. This formation is best used when more DPS is needed or if there is a better HG that can fit in the backline.
The M1911 is still used to this day by many of the US Armed Forces, who adopted it after a series of trials in 1906-1907. The ammunition used by the M1911 is the .45ACP or Automatic Colt Pistol rounds. These rounds were developed alongside this pistol, which the US Armed Forces required to be a caliber of .45 inches.
