MP-446 brings little to the table that other units can’t simply do better. Her Formation buff only affects Damage while many other HGs provide Damage buffs along with RoF, Accuracy, Evasion, or Crit Rate boosts, and her skill only provides an enemy Rate of Fire debuff that activates after a 6 second initial cooldown. Unfortunately, given that most battles should only last for about that long -- if not a bit longer -- MP-446 offers very limited utility and performs no roles that could not be performed by a better unit.
MP-446 provides a Damage buff to all units within her Formation tiles.
MP-446 has a Formation tile set that is extremely useful for certain
Low Evasion and HP
As far as HGs go, MP-446 has very little use as both a Main tank and Offtank.
High Initial Cooldown
MP-446’s initial cooldown is 6 seconds long. Because of this long timer, she struggles to provide crucial defensive support in shorter battles.
Formation Buffs Only Boost One Stat
Many other HGs’ Formation buffs boost Damage along with another stat, making MP-446 a bit lackluster in comparison.
MP-446 has poor defensive stats, sitting below the average thresholds for HGs in Evasion and HP. As with most HGs, she isn’t built for offensive use, causing her to only be as useful as her buffs allow her to be.
Unfortunately, MP-446’s formation buff is lackluster compared to other HGs -- she only provides a 28% Damage buff at max Dummy Link. While this is one of the higher Damage Formation Buffs, it’s also the only buff she provides. As most HGs tend to provide close to the same Damage buff along with a buff to an additional stat, it’s hard to justify using MP-446’s buff over a more versatile one.
Her skill, Assault Suppression, happens to be unique in that it reduces the enemy’s Rate of Fire by 22% at max level -- however, there are many other better choices when it comes to defensive skills. 22% is a low debuff percentage by HG standards. Even in a case where it would be useful, its initial cooldown timer is six seconds long, meaning that this skill won’t come into play until its usefulness is questionable.
In conclusion, MP-466 is a suboptimal in almost every way. Every role she could be used for is better filled by other units. And while this doesn’t make her unusable, it does make her an uncompelling choice for an Echelon unless every other option is completely unfeasible for the foreseeable future..
As MP-446’s Formation buff provides a Damage boost, her best options for teams will be ARs. RFs tend to have higher Damage making additional buffs unnecessary, so ARs have more use for a Damage boost.
ARs with Damage Buff Skills
As MP-446 provides a buff to Damage, this bonus will get compounded even further when used in conjunction with Damage Buff skills from the ARs themselves. This means ARs such as M4A1, As Val, and G41 provide good examples of units to use with her.
MP-446’s main strength is her Damage buff ,so she should therefore be placed in between the DPS units to provide a decent buff for them. Her lack of defensive capability keeps her from being the best choice for either of the Tank positions.
The MP-446 is a civilian version of the MP-443 pistol used by Russian Military since 2003. The main differences are the material used for the frame and the construction of the barrel. The material is Steel for the MP-443, but Polyamide for the MP-446, and the barrel was weakened intentionally to prevent use of AP rounds.
