RMB-93 is a three-star craftable Russian Shotgun geared towards damage dealing. She possesses 22 Armor and a 1210 HP pool, meaning that while RMB-93 does have a relatively high Armor stat, her HP will not hold up against most powerful foes.
One positive aspect of RMB-93 is her Skill, Burst Impact, is considered one of -- if not the best -- Skill type for Shotguns. It is worth noting, however, that its 8 second Initial Cooldown will result in its activation being spotty in most scenarios. Unfortunately, though, RMB-93’s buff tile placement is abysmal, and while the buffs she provides themselves are effective, they’re made significantly less useful due to how they’re placed. Overall, RMB-93 is a mixed bag. While she does have a good Skill, this is basically everything she has to offer and the fact that she cannot use it during most battles deprives her of many redeeming qualities.
Relatively Well Armored
Even though offensive Shotguns usually don’t have much in the way of Armor, RMB’s 22 Armor means she has the best of both worlds.
RMB-93’s Skill, Burst Impact, performs an additional attack that is guaranteed to hit for 2x Damage and knockback enemies by 3 units.
Possessing a HP Pool of 1210, RMB-93 is below average in this regard -- even while considering her status as an offensive SG.
Bad Tile Coverage
Because she only buffs the upper left corner of the first column with her tiles, RMB is forced into an awkward position if one wishes to utilize her tile buff properly.
High Initial Cooldown
Burst Impact has an 8 second Initial Skill Cooldown and will therefore not see much use in a SG+MG Echelon.
The RMB-93 Shotgun, usually referred to as RMB, is a very classy and beautiful Russian lady, however, as a Shotgun, she has little to offer. Her stats are nothing stellar and her Skill, Burst Impact will not come into play often because of its high Initial Cooldown -- unless RMB’s squad is facing high Evasion foes that MGs may not KO in one volley. This is unlikely, though, and does little to salvage RMB’s viability.
RMB-93’s tile buff is decent but the percentage of buffs it offers is underwhelming for just a single buff tile. Damage and Accuracy are the perfect mix of buffs for MGs, but RMB’s tile placement is simply awful. If she wants to make use of her tile buff, she’s forced into the lower right corner of the formation, exposing the top row completely and basically forcing a second SG into the Echelon. Considering most SG+MG Echelons prefer to only use one tank when possible this is less than ideal.
In summary, RMB should not be used outside of Echelon formations with 2 SGs due to her issues with her buff tile placements. Since her good Skill will not prove a factor most of the time and her stats are mediocre, while RMB is usable, she is not a highly recommended choice if better alternatives are available.
SGs That Compensate For RMB’s Tiles
Since RMB has very poor tile coverage that forces her into the lower right corner, SGs that can act as tanks to make up for this deficiency are necessary. Possible candidates are M500, M37 Ithaca and KS-23.
MGs With Strong First Volleys
To minimize RMB’s exposure to the enemy’s fire, strong first-volley MGs such as MG5, M2HB and PK should be employed in Echelons that contain her.
Strong HGs To Buff MGs
Following the same logic of minimizing RMB’s exposure to enemy fire, HGs such as SAA, Grizzly and MK23 will greatly help MGs KO the enemy quickly with their strong tile buffs.
2MG 1HG 2SG is a rather redundant Echelon composition as one Shotgun is more than enough nearly all the time, however RMB’s poor buff tile placement forces her to employ another SG in her Echelon for maximum buffing effectiveness.
An alternate layout of the above Echelon composition that possesses the same general strengths and weaknesses. It may serve to accommodate for an HG’s particular buff pattern.
3MG 2SG is an Echelon composition that sees use in friend squads due to its amazing CE values, however, in practice it is a very costly formation to run. Though, this formation does have merit as a ruthless composition that can face anything and make quick work of it.
