WA2000 is a craftable five-star tsundere rifle that doesn’t like you or anything. She boasts amazing base stats that allow her to one-shot or two-shot most mobs with barely any Damage buffs, but her strengths don’t end there. WA’s relatively high base RoF helps her make good use of her Skill and other RoF buffs provided by HGs in the form of tiles and Skills, making her an amazing fit for almost any Echelon that uses RFs in its composition. Additionally, even though generally RFs as a whole have innately high Damage and Crit modifiers, WA2000’s fast firing nature allows her to perform extremely well when paired with hybrid buff (DMG/Crit & RoF) HGs. Due to her overall versatility and strength, she’s the perfect RF for every situation who should definitely not be passed up on.
WA’s stat base is very strong across the board. Possessing 130 Damage and 39 RoF, WA2000’s stats perfectly complement her Skill.
WA2000 carries the strongest Skill out of all RFs. Since her class has innately high Damage and Crit values that leads it to suffer from overkill, WA2000’s RoF self-buff helps her compensate for her single weakness. This makes it simply unmatched in effectiveness by any other RF Skill.
Perfect RF for every situation
It is no secret that RFs benefit from RoF the most due to their high Damage and Crit modifiers but rather low RoF. This fact makes WA2000 — the fastest firing RF in the game — a flawless being.
For such a ruthless killing machine, WA2000 sure has unstable mood. She doesn’t let it affect her job in any way, though — she has a reputation to uphold!
WA2000’s stat base is the perfect balance between speed and strength. Sporting 130 base Damage and 39 RoF, she sees significant returns from any boosts to these stats. Though it isn’t usually recommended to focus on buffing a DPS RF’s Damage, there is also a RoF cap to consider (for more information, see our RoF cap guide here). WA does not need much RoF to reach the frame-imposed cap of 116 — an additional 70% RoF boost that can be provided mostly by tile buffs will suffice along with her Skill. Because of WA’s ease of reaching the RoF cap, she can get away with receiving hybrid buffs which boost her RoF and Damage/Crit Rate instead of needing to focus solely on boosting her RoF.
Another reason that WA2000 is so amazing is because of overkill, which is a problem that plagues the RF class as a whole. Overkill is the act of dealing too much damage to a single enemy — and RFs, with their generally high Damage but low RoF, will often perform worse than they should due to having high damage-dealing potential but low Rate of Fire. It is this stat distribution that prevents them from quickly switching from foe to foe, making them inefficient. RoF self-buff RFs, though, do not suffer from overkill as much due to their almost AR-like nature. WA2000 in particular happens to possess an extremely strong RoF self-buff Skill that completely nullifies overkill’s disadvantages, thus rendering her exempt of her to a weakness inherent in her class.
Additionally, in a game where the ability to deal damage is paramount, having the highest DPS among RFs and being able to quickly reach her peak performance in battle means WA2000 will never find herself outdone by any other RF. These strengths even help her perform in some niches such as boss-killing better than RFs particularly geared for a specific job.
In summary, WA2000 is without a doubt the strongest and most versatile RF in the game, and she features no particularly notable weaknesses. Due to her ability outperform any other RF throughout all stages of the game, it is impossible to not recommend her.
Due to WA2000’s ability to reach RoF cap with little assistance, it is recommended to pair her up with HGs that sacrifice overall buff strength to enhance two stats such as Stechkin, PPK and Makarov instead.
Standard 3HG 2RF formation, WA2000 can be placed on either tile 7 or 1, depending on the HGs employed in the composition. Stechkin and PPK are more than enough to help WA2000 reach the RoF cap of 108 and will allow placement of WA2000 on tile 1 while maintaining peak performance.
The Walther WA2000 is a West German bullpup sniper rifle designed between the late 70s and early 80s and produced from 1982 to 1988 by Walther. Only a total of 176 were built and as a consequence the WA2000 is quite rare and costly.
